Windows and doors are one of the few upgrades that pay you back monthly. A drafty single-pane window loses heat all winter and gains it all summer, and the deteriorating seal on a twenty-year-old double-glazed unit does much the same thing more quietly.

We install energy rated windows and doors from established Canadian manufacturers, ordered to the measured opening rather than fitted from stock sizes with packing behind the trim.

The installation matters as much as the unit. Most of the performance you paid for is decided by whether the rough opening was flashed, shimmed, insulated and sealed correctly, which is work you cannot see once the trim is on.

Comfort Starts at the Rough Opening

An energy rated window installed into an unsealed opening performs like a cheap one. Air moves around the frame instead of through the glass, and the draft you were trying to fix relocates to the trim line. Most clients notice the draft is gone before they notice the heating bill.

Every unit is manufactured to your measured opening rather than fitted from the nearest stock size. Then the opening is prepared: sill flashing, shimming so the frame is square and operable, foam or backer rod and sealant at the perimeter, and interior and exterior finishing. Ontario's freeze-thaw cycle punishes anything less.

Your entry door and front elevation windows set the impression of the whole house. Swapping tired aluminum frames for vinyl or fibreglass, replacing a hollow entry door with an insulated system, or adding a bay window changes the street view on day one. Frame material follows the application, not one supplier.

We help you settle style, colour, grille pattern and hardware against your home's architecture, then handle the exterior capping and interior casing so the opening looks original rather than retrofitted. Because we price per opening rather than per house, the front elevation can be done first and the rest staged behind it.

We quote per opening rather than per house, which is the only honest way to do it: size, operation style, frame material and energy rating change the number on every window, and bay, bow and custom shapes sit well above a standard opening. Pricing each opening separately also means you can stage the work and do the house in phases if you would rather.

Most whole-house window projects take 1 to 3 days on site, at roughly 1 to 2 hours per opening. The longer part is manufacturing, which is generally 4 to 8 weeks after the order is placed and measured.

Ontario and federal rebate programs for energy efficient upgrades open and close periodically, and utility programs vary by provider. We track what is available at the time you order and tell you what your selections would qualify for.

We install several Canadian manufacturers rather than tying ourselves to one line, because the right choice changes with the application. Vinyl suits most replacements, fibreglass suits large spans and dark colours, and wood-clad suits heritage properties where the interior finish matters.

Replacing windows in existing openings at the same size generally does not require a permit. Enlarging an opening, adding a new one, or installing an egress window for a basement bedroom does. We handle the application when one is required.
